If only... but it IS exactly the Fun House set, songs almost in the exact order of the album. The Ungano's show was something of a showcase for it.

| Since youve heard it paul, can i ask, are there any variations as far as solos, or maybe dirt or funhouse become another song through a jam or something? or do they just play the album through the way it is on record? | |

I only heard a taster, a couple of songs. But the playing sounded great... similar to the record in the way the Cincinnati live show is, but really tight. Billy Cheatham had been rehearsing with the Stooges even before they recorded the album, that's how ROn checked how his solos sounded with overdubs. I didn't hear any huge departures from the record. But I don't want to give too specific impressions from what wa a quick listen, while I was also talking and looking through files of cuttings and contracts..

| On the topic of this era, I finally listened to the Chicago Soldier's Field show. I had put off tracking it down because everything I heard about the sound quality was pretty negative. I was pleasantly surprised - they don't sound huge but everything is audible (except maybe the bass). Other revelation: LA Blues probably was a lot better live. Otherwise, with the exception of Funhouse, these didn't really build off the album's performances all that much. I know, I know, the album was recorded live too, so what did I expect? I guess I was just disappointed the songs weren't continuing to evolve, especially since the Fun House box demonstrates that there was more than one way to play all these songs. Iggy's vocals, in particular, are pretty close matches to what was on the album. | |

| actualli "live 71 and early rarities" got really a crappy sound, and i think it's the same concert as the one on disc 3 in "you want my action" boxset. so you better order it (i order this starfighter cd for 10$, two years ago and was oblige to clean it on audacity to obtain a proper sound) | |

| Yup it's disk 3 in much better quality, and also the last 3 tracks on disk 4.
You need to buy the 1971 boxset.

You need to buy the 1971 boxset. Are you saying the "You Want My Action" is better quality, or the '71 Rarities bootleg?

| Why not buy it off EA's website? That way EA can afford to unearth more Stooges rarities | |

| Sorry I won't upload it, that's what's good about the internet you can buy anything from anywhere in the world.
Smaller labels like Easy Action basically survive on a small hardcore of fans, if you want it, you should buy it.
