Nah...it was Jimmy Silver...but he was remoted to play bass on 'Weirdness' by John Cale - who was more accomplished guitarist

And of course let's not forget about how Cale produced Raw Power, after Andrew Loog Oldham declined the offer. Keith Richards was actually the lead guitarist on that album too.
