anyone have heard about a record of the "come-and-be-iggy night"? the show with ashtons brothers in 1971 just after the band broke up. Ron declares some participants are better than iggy (can you really imagine that ? ....)

There is a recording of one of the final 1971 Stooges gigs where Iggy and James didn't show up. The only songs that have cropped up from it are "What's You Gonna Do About It?" and "Ron's Jam".

i don't think so, in "live 71 and early rarities" , those two songs (what you gonna do;ron's jam) are listed from the 1969 wampler lake show.
without iggy ? not really, he sang on what you gonna do ...

Yes but they are listed incorrectly they were actually recorded in 1971, Paul Tyranka's book confirms it. Its a member of the audience (not Iggy) thats singing, I thought it was Iggy for a long time. turns out its somebody else altogether. I believe their first name was Steve.

steve richards i think it is

though im not sure you're entirely right, i was under the impression that steve richard sang on you dont want my name and those songs, which were correctly dated as 1971, dunno if he sings on the ones you mention, or if they are incorrectly dated

Nope Steve Richards sings only on "What's You Gonna Do About It?" and "Ron's Jam", Iggy sings on all the other ones.
