They did good. I wouldn't have guessed it was Madonna's songs. Burning Up is great !

Don't know if anyones seen this but, it's got nothing to do with the HOF induction, but it's still Iggy + Madonna video, i was searching for footage of the HOF show and came across it...

Ron, Scott and Mike were all on fire. I just wish Iggy had been more on top of his game.

He's was great on burning up, but yeh ray of light wasnt great, but then again its nt a stooges song and he's not used to singin it, they found it hard to integrate songs from the weirdness at first, but yeh i thought it was pretty bad, burnin up was great tho

I don't remember which song was which, but Iggy was more on-key on the second one.

And it isn't fair to expect them to play her crap and be perfect, I admit. But the band shined regardless.

All in all, I'd have preferred Down On The Street and Loose though. With a 15 minute Fun House to close the show.

YEH! though we may yet get to hear that, amean the RNR HOF 'committee' are idiots, but they can take a hint, amean one of the biggest pop acts ever decides to bring a hugely influential but hardly recognised (esp by them) band/artist to play for her nad the previous year the inductees forgo any of their own songs and play the same bands songs in some form of semi-protest at them being chosen over the ppl who, if they hadnt been influenced by them, wouldnt even be here

The Stooges are the most underappreciated band in history, considering how fucking talented they are. Pisses me off.

Here's a thought. Just where does he get his guitars from? It's like I always wonder, where he got guitar lessons? Who taught him to play like that?

Think he just learnt from records like a lot of ppl, but the guitar popmansam means is the one he released recently

nah, he definitely took guitar lessons as a kid, or he says he did!
I mean he started out playing accordion for gawd's sake.
But then he would've made even an accordion sound good!!!

The sentence was word for word quoted from the song.
Here's a thought on it;

There was a lot media attention on the possibility that the stooges would
sing this song 'like a virgin', before the performance in the HOF.
Of coarse cuz of the controversie to hear Iggy singing this girly Catholic sexual coming out thing.
can imagine Iggy thought it over...But
yeah...to sing it?.. wow..it's a bad and stupid song.
difficult to make much of it as a rock band.
The only thing what makes this song..is this very specific sentence Iggy was quoting in the HOF!
Not to forget this was Madonna her first huge hit!

So Iggy used the sentence to get the controversie +
he honoured Madonna by mentioning her very first BIG Big hit!

You can see it as a smart move from Iggy!

Does anyone know how to upload a cuple songs, apart from services like rapidshare? I recorded the songs on garageband just from youtube, still sounds pretty good tho, well burnin up at least, lol

Anyone, with any brains, who listened to any pre-1990 Madonna could have ONLY concluded that "Burnin' Up" was the ONLY song that the Stooges could've, possibly, pulled off.
