| I'm pretty sure he played a Gibson Les Paul when he was in Destroy All Monsters. | |

Yeah, looked that way. He had a whole different sound in Destroy All Monsters. Thanks for that link zenta. I hadn't read it before. | |

| When I saw DAM, ron used a Marshall with a slant cabinet, and A Les Paul. And Niagara kept fuckin with him, turning the knobs on the amp, or the tuning machineheads on the guitar. Not nice. | |

| Reverend is the coolest company. I met Joe, and Ken last year at their factory. Great guys. their best days were back a few years ago, when they still made their guitars here in the USA (MI). Those are great guitars, and light as a feather (due to the phenolic laminate body design).
Ron used 2 Avengers from 03-05(and weirdness), and a Jetstream 390, and Charger 290 from 06-07, before getting his signature model with them in 08. He also had a Black Rocco, and one of their Rumblefish PJ bass guitars, which he used on Skull Ring. In addition, he used one of their Drivetrain II overdrive pedals for all live reunion gigs.
He knew Joe many years before that though. He had a couple amps and cabs from Joe's earlier days (early 90's), Which he made "Naylor Amps". It was a short lived Boutique amp, made locally in Eastpointe, MI. These amps are rare, very expensive, and produce amazing sound. Ron also owned one of only 10 handmade guitars he did around this time.

| Now they are made in Korea. His jetstream, and charger, and sig model are not phenolic. Those were Korean models. The Avenger, Rocco, and bass rumblefish were, and are american. Only the american ones were phenolic. He patented the design. Was a great idea.
Cheers ! | |
