Yeah, great news for you euros. But this also means they'll skip the states and do the festival circuit. Maybe do 2 or 3 dates here and then go for the dough.

I seem to remember they were about £25 for the Funhouse ATP gig in 2005. I signed up to the Apollo mailing list so hopefully will get prior notification of when they go on sale.

yeh but it was worth it, it was in the Rat Cellar in Dublin, this purpose made tent thing, like a circus and it just added to the whole thing, and he was so cool, voice was shot but i could still make the words out and it didnt really detract from it and i dunno it wasnt like a normal gig it was like an experience like we were all inside his head or something, it was strange lol

hope its closer to the £25 but i dont mind how much, this isnt about money, i have to see this, i really wanted to see suicide play suicide at the ATP festival but its in new york so im definitely going to this

thats what i thought, Donald, i was wondering why London, just because i instinctively thought they'd play on US soil first

My god this is great news. Im to young to go to europe on my own and my parents wouldnt take me to just see a band that they hate, so HOPEFULLY they play some u.s dates either before or after cause id kill to see this line up.

I'd pay the same for a Tom gig, he's way worth it!

yeh, isnt he? i think it seems an extravagant amount to people who don't know/get tom waits, but it was the first time he was in ireland since 1987 and because of his songs, the characters and places and things in the songs it was like being inside his imagination and meeting the people and stuff, it was surreal, totally worth it

I was saying the same to someone, if you really like him you understand why his gigs cost that much. But to other people it just seems ridiculous.
