Stooges to play Hammersmith Apollo May 2-3, 2010

Ill be there with my girlfriend Monday night. Im thinking Iggy & the boys may scare her!

Just got my tickets for both nights!! The only problem is that I'm in Texas and there's a freaking volcano to deal with!!

I’m not sure if this could be called a “dilemma” BUT, I wanna go but I don’t have anyone to go with!! Also I’ve never been to this venue before (in the past I’ve only attended local gigs, i.e. supper small venues). Oh my goodness, I am not so keen on going alone....at the same time the first night is already sold out....so only the 3rd May is left!!

Oh what do i do?

And yeah, I would really appreciate advice on the best place to buy tickets. Moreover, how quickly do you receive the tickets? I’m still deciding if to go or not BUT if I but them next week....is that leaving it too late?
This is dumb, what is the situation with sitting/standing places? Do the standing ones get sold out first? Which is better for Hammersmith?

if you buy the ticket from wegottickets you can print the 'ticket' just after the payment..

this is silly but i can't actually figure out where my place is? I HOPE its NOT right a the back!! it says "stalls: X 4" on the side of the ticket.

I can't believe the gigs have come around so soon, seems like AGES since I booked them

It sucks not having a job so I could've had the money to go but that's how it is.

I hope everyone going tonight to the gig has an amazing time *it's now 3.02 am sunday morning for me* and loves The Stooges.
If I don't get up onstage and save that for mondays gig I'll definately be on the front row at tonights gig. I'll be wearing my white stooges t-shirt which look like this one

The Sunday show was bloody brilliant. The band was tight as hell and Iggy was on fire. It was my brother's first Stooges gig, and he was mightily impressed.

It was great to hear Open Up and Bleed, and James more than did justice to I Wanna Be Your Dog - and I say that as someone firmly in the Ron camp.

Roll on Monday - yep, I bought tickets for both!

So are they doing the full set that they've been doing elsewhere for the atp "Don't look back " shows? I'm going to NYC and have been hoping to hear some of that other RAw Power stuff that they've been polishing off!! Looking forward to hearing more about the show!

Great show tonight!! I was on the front row until the stage invasion - about four songs in - but already by then Iggy had stagedived onto my head about three times
So good to see them live again, i still firmly believe no one beats them live!

I also met Mike Watt after the gig which was prett cool - he's a lovely guy

The crowd were pretty nuts, worse than I expected really and anyone know why have they changed the stage invasion to near the start of the gig instead of near to the end? I was pissed I couldnt stay on the front row for long, I had to move otherwise I'd have been crushed haha

Hope everyone else enjoyed the gig! Can't wait to see them again tomorrow!!!
