| It's mostly just moans, groans, and coughs but Iggy does repeat what sounds like "last night" or "asthma" at the start of the song and a couple of times throughout. He also repeats "honey" a couple of time and says "gimme a little slide" in the middle of the song. But there really arent any conventional lyrics in the song. | |

| More mislabelling: just loaded the set into iTunes, which thinks the last track on the second disk is called "Little Dog" | |

| My set arrived last night, but I haven't cracked it open yet, I'm kinda waiting on the replacement discs to arrive. Has anyone contacted Rhino about the improperly pitched Cale tracks and gotten a response. I didn't see that in the thread anywhere. | |

Mine arrived today and likewise I have yet to opened it. I guess I will wait for the replacement and leave this one sealed. I also wonder about what Rhino's response is to the "pitch" problem with the Cale tracks.

I also wonder about what Rhino's response is to the "pitch" problem with the Cale tracks. Mine arrived too, actually both sets did, but I haven't opened them yet. I do like the packaging of the first album though. Now would be the perfect moment for Rhino Handmade to deal with the pitch problem, if there indeed is one, before sending the replacement discs.

I couldn't resist opening mine, and there is no doubt whatsoever about there being a pitch problem on the Cale tracks. They are almost comedically slow.

Ian I just emailed customer service about it. If I get a reply, I'll post it. I'm listening to them right now, and while the speed issue doesn't render them unlistenable, it would be nice to have them at the correct speed.

| It seems that all the people with musical ears here were correct about the Cale tape speed issue. I hated to hear it before the box came out but now it seems to be a sad fact.
I haven't even got my goddamn box yet (they posted it well over a week ago) but now feel that it's beginning to feel like a waste of money as the Cale mixes were the thing I wanted.
The replacements discs are not going to solve this. The plant would pay the cost of the straight repress that they screwed up. But if rhino screwed up the master then they would have to pay for a new master and pay for a repress of that disk. That's a lot of money to lose, I guess.
I wonder if Rhino would give refunds? Is it possible to write to anyone that matters at Rhino and lodge complaints? Do customer services actually do anything?

| I emailed Rhino and got a response that replacement discs were being produced, but I get the feeling that is was a ready made response about the already planned replacements as they didn't actually address the speed problem. We shall see. | |

| Rhino definitely should fix the speed problem on the tracks mixed by John Cale, but if they don't I recommend using Audacity (or a similar program) to speed the tracks up by about 6-7% or so. It's a hassle we shouldn't have to do after spending so much money on the set, but it can be done. | |

That may be all right for those who play their music on computers but some of us still use those old fashioned CD player things.
