| For the record I listen to CDs on my non-computer based stereo as well, and do not have Audacity on my computer. But if Rhino fails to correct their mistake, I may just download and use it to burn a speed-corrected CD-R which I will then listen to on my stereo. Having said that, I am not even sure that is possible, just assuming it is. | |

| Yea, I was playing with soundforge last night, and I admittedly do not have a good ear for pitch, but +.75 cents sounded about right to me on the John Cale tracks. Rhino should definitely be responsible for fixing them. If I can hear the difference, and be able to fiddle around and correct it, they should have been able to do so. I actually really like We Will Fall even slower. | |

Hope soon have the money for buy it or... good luck! tonight I'm going to dream again that my set finally arrives 3 weeks after Rhino shipped it on the 23rd April. I'm betting UK Customs are still processing it.

| Not just me waiting then? I was just thinking that the US/UK post might need speed corrected. I reckon they are currently -17days.

So I guess there's an invoice on the outside of the envelope? How was it packed by the way? I heard on another forum it has arrived damaged for some people.

| With regards the UK postal and Customs Excise system:
I paid a Post Office VAT bill on Monday, thinking that it was the Stooges box. On Wednesday I got a box which was a DVD set originally posted 4 weeks ago from USA. The Post Office has had that box since at least the 2nd of May. That's at least 10 days for the Mount Pleasant Postal Depot to process and deliver it (less a day for me to pay it).
This 9 day (or more) turn around costs - £8.00 for a Post Office 'International Handling Fee'.
So, I paid my £13.67 today for the next package which I am now confident will be the Stooges box.
Remember £8 of what you pay is for the Post Office to process the VAT payment on your behalf. The 9 or 10 days it takes them to get your package to you is their way of thanking you for your custom. How nice of them.

It's a good point. If Rhino give the 2 discs any value above £18 we will pay VAT and Post Office charges again. Plus an extra 2 week wait for our mail. I have written to Rhino asking about any value they will have to declare on the 2 replacement discs. I explained our VAT situation.

| i just got mine in the mail today. the slow Cale mixed cuts are a real bummer. Having all the Cales mixes together was my main reason for buying an overpriced version of a reissue that I just bought from the same company not too long ago. I feel pretty cheated with this one. Normally I'm not someone who complains about reissues or regrets a purchase, but this one was really pretty poorly executed and seems to have had no supervision for the audio. Bootlegs usually have more care put into their pressings than this. | |

| I always thought that Rhino was a company that takes more care than the rest of the companies in his products.Seems that I was totally wrong.I don't have the box, but I listened to some of the short cuts the have in their page and it's terrible hear I wanna be your dog(the cale mix)so slow. But it's ashtma attack, we will fall full version...but yes, seems that they're cheating on us. I want to purchase but I think I'm gonna wait to see if they're gonna do something about it. | |

If we do e-mail Rhino, I think we should go through Dr. Rhino in CA and not the customer service department in India. Although Dr. Rhino is more likely to not respond, at least he is fluent enough in English to understand what we are even talking about.

They were. But most of the company has either left for greener pastures or been laid off, and Rhino has outsourced their customer service department to India. Rhino is but a whisper of its former self.

| I managed to get the email address for the Rhino Project Manager responsible for the Stooges Collector'S Edition release. I have emailed him (yesterday) to see if the replacement disks will correct the Cale Mix speed issue -we'll see.

Bought the promo hoping the Cale tracks might be right, but no. Didn't get stung for VAT or postman tax though.
