| There was an extract in the New York Times and it was pretty graphic and well-written. Draft copies of the manuscript have also been sold on eBay. | |

| I'm just hoping that it is light years better than that Joe Ambrose crap from a couple of years ago. I had high hopes, but that book SUCKED. | |

| The Mick rock book is fantastic, but it's nearly all pictures. Does this new biography cover the Stooges era in depth? I'm going to be honest; I'm not that interested in Ig's solo career... | |

| The mick rock book was issued ages ago under a different cover layout (same pic, but different lettering)
Did it have the Ig's foreword ?

| This appears to be the [slightly less compelling] North American hardcover cover: Release date April 10. | |

Same question. I'm actually looking for the definitive Stooges book.

| Great! Thanks! What about "Raw Power" by Mick Rock? Is it an exclusively Stooges pics book? | |

What about "Raw Power" by Mick Rock? Is it an exclusively Stooges pics book? It's all pics from 1972 but the paperback edition has a forward from Iggy and an interveiw he did with Iggy in 1972 which is pretty short and spread out. There's also alot of pointless collages and 4 word quotes that take up a two-page spread. Still if you want cool, big pictures from 1972 its a great book to get, just don't get your hopes up too high.

What about "Raw Power" by Mick Rock? Is it an exclusively Stooges pics book? Also bear in mind that all the live shots are from the same gig. The other shots are mostly from another two sessions too as far as I remember. It's good stuff but try and pick up a cheap copy.
