Interesting find - I think that's the first time I've seen a proposed recording date for the third album. Of course we all know it never happened, but the band did debut their all new set in April as predicted. cheers, Richard

'The Stooges begin recording their third Elektra LP Monday, March 22 in Los Angeles. The working title for the album is ‘Big Time Bum.’'
Ah doesn't that just make your head spin?... it does mine.
If only, if only.

That could have been a terrific album - even in the rotten sound quality of the 1971 live recordings there's some real fire. Imagine those songs in decent studio quality. If only indeed, Woody! Cheers, Richard

In the "Mini Popped" which I think was the last Popped newsletter Natalie put out (I figure this came out in April 1971 as she'd heard Black Like Me and lists upcoming gigs May 7th-May 31st) she mentions that they're going to LA to record in June.
