| Yeh, always read iggypop.org as a man, lol, but also, waow, cant believe you all saw the stooges/iggy that many times, ive seen them once Montreux 2006, amazing, goes without saying really, but also on one hand, its great we get to see the stooges, and im sure all you guys who saw iggy solo all those times are relishing it, but new guys like me, who liked him/stooges after gettin back together, i just cant help wondering, by the time iggy finishes with the stooges, he'll be a ripe age, will he still tour, or will he do another album, is iggy pop solo gone, granted he hasnt been ''brilliant'' on an album for some time, but albums like american caesur show how great he really is, i'd love to see him live | |

What suprises me is that the longer and the more I listen to newer music of the Stooges or Iggy's, I find myself liking the newer stuff more and more. It takes a time to hear it really well without comparing what was made in the past or what other bands do these days. I still hear this very specific brilliant sound of Iggy and this sound with the Stooges. American Ceasar is an old one. I mean when did you start liking that record? it was not so well arrived in those days. Maybe comparabel with how we receive now The Weirdness? |

Iggy has always been brilliant live but sometimes his bands let him down. His last touring band before the Stooges quite frankly sucked ass. They struck me as complacent and settled into their groove. In comparison the Stooges are playing for their lives. Once I saw the Stooges there was no looking back. It would be nice to see Iggy playing some of his solo material again but it would be great to see it played by the Stooges. That probably won't happen though.

| The El Rey show was pretty amazing. Never been to an Iggy Pop concert before and it was like a controlled riot at some points. But it was a great show. Also, I got Iggy to sign a photo after the gig. The El Rey is a great old theater in LA.
Cajun House show was outstanding. I was right by the stage during this one and wasn't in danger of being crushed to death. Iggy did a flop off the stage right on top of me! I was literally holding him on my shoulder, then trying to push him back onto the stage while people crushed around us.
I waited outside 2 1/2 hours after that gig and got Iggy's signature on a great 8 x 10 photo. One of the best autographs in my collection.
I love the Wiltern in LA. I used to drive by it down Wilshire Blvd and only dream of the idea that David Bowie would ever play there. Amazingly, he did in 2004 and I fulfilled my dream by being at one of the concerts. When Iggy and the Stooges played there last year I just had to go again. Great show.

All the recordings (except Toledo 74 and DTE 03) are still only on tape. At some point soon, I'll make digital copies of them and I'll definently upload them and post a note on this board. My 'master' and '2nd gen' are certainly better than the circulating copies. Lot's of fine people here who I'm sure would enjoy them. - iggy-fan wrote:

Indeed, you are correct. I must have typoed an '8' instead of a '5' somewhere along the line which stayed on all my subsequent lists - iggy-fan wrote:

Again, you are correct. Although I've edited my post above, it originally stated that I remembered a concert somewhere between 1990-1996 but couldn't remember where. Well, IT was at The Odeon 1994 and I had it confused with the 1996 show. Here's a few momentos of my Iggy concerts... Nov 11 1982 - The Agora, Cleveland Nov 7 1986 - The Phantasy Theatre, Cleveland Nov 8 1986 - St. Andrews Hall, Detroit Mar 21 1987 - Ohio Center, Columbus Ohio Jul 15 1988 - The Phantasy Theatre, Cleveland Sep 19 1988 - The Newport, Columbus Ohio Oct 23 1990 - The Newport, Columbus Ohio Mar 21 1994 - The Odeon, Cleveland Apr 13 1996 - The Agora, Cleveland Aug 25 2003 - DTE, Detroit Apr 13 2007 - Fox Theater, Detroit
