What amazes me is how quickly they abandoned (or forgot?) songs. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like nothing stayed in their set more than a year or so. Imagine having the Stooges blow into town every year with a BRAND NEW SET. Imagine if they still did this, and dropped the old stuff after the Weirdness came out!

Good point - virtually nothing from the debut album lasted into the 1970 ive sets, and by the 1971 shows nothing from Fun House was being played live.

The sole 1972 Kings Cross gig had a set list made up of new material, much of which never made the Raw Power album.

1973 shows contained only 4 Raw Power songs, and primarily consisted of new tunes, and by 1974 even more new stuff was being introduced.

These days, oddly, it's the old stuff that remains in the set and the new material which has been dropped! Virtually nothing from The Weirdness remained in the sets played at the end of last summer.

Cheers,

R

Thanks, I'll edit my post and I've just discovered today that "Searching For Head" was from Scott's band Rock Action. I don't know if they named themselves after him or if he got nicknamed because of them. Huh?

I Got A Right was only played live once in 1972 so I doubt it would've be on the album. Wild Love, Rubber Legs and She Creatures Of Hollywood Hills may also have been on it.
