Can't find if you talked already about this one, so here's my question:

Always when I hear a Stooges record or see on dvd a gig with Iggy (a.o. musicians) I have these idea's about each musician.
And can't stop thinking about who I'd put together to play my perfect Stooges gig.
Who of the Stooges (or other musicians playing in a Iggy Pop band) would you choose... on which instrument, for the perfect Stooges gig?

In my massive gig are:

is a suprise: see next page

Cheers! Very Happy

All good line ups, but I'd definitely have Scotty Thurston on Harmonica. Open Up and Bleed from the that first Whisky show that came out is the dogs bollocks, and my number one all time Stooges track!

more people like the 2 drums idea...

but 3 guitars: James and Ron together, would be awesome!
what an idea man Very Happy Iggy's voice could handle it in the San Francisco 81 gig..but these days, what ya think?

Including Scott Thurston on harmonica: like this!
Now I can't stop thinking what The Stooges themselves would think of these ideas, they'll probably Freaking Out beserk

Yeah..especially the 2 guitar guy's. It's to me more the idea.
Because the sound..I don't know, they have a contrary sound on guitar!

But wish they could get on and forget what happened in the past. If James would catch up a bit and Ron wouldn't be that stubborn..what the hell... they ought to do it for the fans and for the future! 1 gig wouldn't harm.

thought about keyboards as well...because Scott Thurston is great! but don't like keyboards...gives a smooth, poppy thing to the songs No
Scott on bass is an option in that case. But after Ron on Bass comes Dave to my opinion.

nah, i dunno, that arrangement, of ron and james on guitar cant, and didnt work, williamson was too ambitious i think, they just clash, so do the styles, and sure there was also the heroin that split that version up as well, im pretty ok with the original stooges lineup, lol, though i love the 1971 rotation

get your point!

but you can't say it can't be done! Depends on everything: the input and in what way they might have changed. There must be a flow of willing of coarse..

Wild HSJW cyclops Very Happy
toooo many backing vocals man! they can do 2 songs.....and than have to shut up and leave it to The Ig to do it all: loud and deep.
James on Bass: that's a heavy one!!!
Yeah Scott is a extremely good keyboard player. but on keyboard the Bowie stuff is good...and that's no Stooges stuff.....
