| Man,if thats the case....wow! I hope a detailed story as to where these tapes have been hiding all these years is included. As well as a tribute to Ron,altho id think thats a given. What ever happened with that Unganos tape? I have never heard any of the pre raw power boots,i saw that one LP was on ebay,is it worth hearing or is it,as Clinton Heydin called it in his book "excruciating...avoid" im assuming its just horrid quality but dont want to piss away 40 bucks to find out! | |

| It sounds too good to be true, sure, but it's no hoax. It's extremely exciting that the long-lost and pretty much unknown 1971 tunes will finally see the light of day in good quality because they're awesome. And the 1971 band was truly great. The set list was more or less identical over the brief '71 tour (same 6 tunes at every gig, occasionally 5 and sometimes some a cappella lines from "The Shadow of Your Smile"). I think they did add one or two tunes when they previewed their material for Gallucci and Harvey at the Fun House. I cannot understand how they could overlook "You Don't Want My Name", for example, when they reunited in 1972. It's all very exciting! | |
