| I don't like the idea of playing iggy's songs. As for me there is kind of a wall between the art of iggy and the art of the stooges. Frankly speaking i never liked iggy's solo career. Songs i wait from their new performances with james williamson are: cock in my pocket, head on, my girl hates my heroine and all that stuff. BUT it would be really amazing if they played some iggy's masterpeaces such as lust for life and the passanger, and i'm sure that most of the fans are looking forward to it. | |

| read somewhere iggy always makes the setlist and ron objected playing raw power (and solo stuff)untill 2008 when they simply had to do it after playing more or less the same set for 5 years. now maybe james has some input on the setlist. what about ending the shows with louie louie? | |

Please, can you post the interview here? Especially interested in what he said about Scott Thurston etc...

Please, can you post the interview here? Especially interested in what he said about Scott Thurston etc... I will, but after the interview will be published on the blog for which I write (I have contract with Mixer.com).

| Warm up gig, despite huge audience who itself was primed for previous Iggy solo artist sets. Raw Power marketed to debut in Europe and London, so it couldn't debut in Brazil. 'Looking forward to Kill City selections. | |

| He's probably just sick of people asking "Why didn't you do the Passenger or Lust For Life?" I know I always have to try and explain it to friends after they've seen the Stooges. It's a distinction many people can't really see the point of. | |

| Same thing occurs with Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music.
Roxy Music don't play any of Ferry's solo stuff (and thus always get people moaning that they didn't do "Slave To Love" or "Let's Stick Together"), but Ferry's concerts always include a lot of Roxy tunes, just as Iggy's shows always used to include a lot of Stooges songs.
To us fans there is a big difference but that's just us, being perhaps a bit too precious about the songs we love so much. 99% of the public see no difference at all between Iggy / Stooges or Bryan Ferry / Roxy Music or Neil Young / Crazy Horse etc etc.
Cheers,
Richard | |

| On the other hand, the Birthday Party hardly ever feature in a Nick Cave set. And thankfully Echo and the Bunnymen never do Ian McCulloch solo songs | |

Hah. They should do 'Let's Work'. Worst idea for a rock anthem in history. Let's fucking NOT, Mick.... Also, not sure if this has been pointed out already, but Mike seems to have a little photo of Ron on his bass. Nice job.

| it's hard to say. i guess that in theory it's really cool to keep things apart and to draw a line between the two. but i'm quite sure that when you're in a show and a they start to play "lust for life", for instance, it would be really hard to resist. and hey, lets not forget that this material would probably work out better than songs from the weirdness. | |
