Bottom line: GREAT set. The bitching here reminds me of the football (US) site I frequent. No matter what the effort put into it, it's never enough. Ridiculous. You've gotta be nucking futs not to thoroughly love this. Cut the damn technical crap, light one up and fucking ENJOY...
I think you are missing the point. Nobody has suggested that it isn't a good set, but since many of us in Europe spent a lot of money both on the set itself and the shipping costs it is important that we get what we paid for. We were promised an 'unreleased' version of Head On - we got a version that has been already released. We were promised an 'unreleased' version of I Got A Right - we got a version that was already released. We were promised 'completely alternate mix' versions of Shake Appeal and Death Trip - we got the Bowie versions that have already been released. This isn't bitching or whining, it is just pointing out that we have not received all of what we paid for. Yes, it is still a great set - but it could have been a fantastic one if a little more care had been taken. Like I said elsewhere, it sounds to me like the vocals to I'm Hungry were recorded over an already-mixed backing track rather than mixed from multi-tracks. Listen carefully and you will see what I mean. I don't much care when the vocals were added. The musicians on that track are Iggy, James, Ron and Scott - The Stooges. That's all I care about.

| Well, whatever as far as the vocals go. No need to get into a row over it.
At any rate, I think this set is a gem. I feel like I got my money's worth.

| I downloaded the 'free' version of 'I Got A Right' from the official site (signed up for the mailing list), and the quality of the track is amazing. I keep going back and forth as to weather to spend the $50 for only a couple of 'new' songs (I really only care about CD 3 and maybe the DVD) | |

Georgia Peaches, Doojiman, Hey Peter, I'm Hungry and the alt. mixes are all essential for any self-respecting Stooges aficionado. Gotta' get em', man.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I already purchased the legacy edition so I have the live show, Doojiman, etc. I didn't realize there was a 'deluxe' edition until a few weeks ago.

| Five Star, i think you'll like the dvd. Very well done, a lot of filling in of info, and of course a peek at what an active Stooges gig was like back in the day. | |

| Don't know if Sick is a remix or not but it's definitely the same take. Nice to hear that different take of I Got A Right | |
