Kevin Armstrong & Seamus Beaghen played with Iggy on the 1986 Blah Blah Blah tours of the USA and Europe and in 1987 as opening act for The Pretenders in the States and then a Japanese tour and a UK/European tour which were mainly festivals. Check out the pro-shot video for Iggy Live at the Ritz 11/14/86.
Thank you so much for the insight (and video).
I'm psyched, beyond belief, hoping this lineup makes it to the USA.

Seamus Beaghen also played keyboards and second guitar on the 1988/89 Instinct tour.

What an epic tour. I still find myself listening to the King Biscuit show quite a bit.
It's one of my favorite live Iggy recordings of all-time.

You are correct, that may have been the best tour/band ever. I saw the shows in Nashville and Cincinnati in 1988 and they were both even better than the Boston show! If you haven't already you should read Alvin Gibbs book about the Instinct tour. I seem to remember him saying that there were problems with that Boston show.

They are also playing the Netherlands at the down the rabbit hole festival one week after the support gig with the Foo Fighters. Is anybody here interested in going?

Mwa, we have been thinking about it, but other bands on the festival are not that interesting. And down the rabbit hole doesn't sell daytickets, so you'd have to buy an expensive 3-day ticket and get no bonus in return. The festival in Luik on July 11th is a better option I think.

So still only the two London dates as Foo fighters support at Wembley in the UK.
Hoping some solo dates will be added at some point and especially for those not near London!
What are the odds on that?

Yes, I'm surprised there aren't at least a couple more UK dates. As time marches on, the odds are not looking so good...

Thanks for the tour dates Jacqui. Even allowing for days off and Iggy needing more rest than he used to, there's still plenty of gaps in the schedule for potential extra dates. Fingers crossed. Cheers, Richard

Nice find Jacqui, thanks for posting. I'm still hoping that a few more, smaller, gigs might be scheduled, but as the tour draws near it's looking less and less likely. Hope all those who get to see these shows report back here. Cheers, Richard

I'm really hoping for some smaller venue gigs in the USA. Maybe somewhere in the August/September window.
I'd hate to think that a clusterfuck like the Riotfest would be my only option.
C'mon Iggy--let's see you announce a gig in Detroit.

Potentially a problem - Dave Grohl has broken his leg and Foo Fighters have postponed a couple of gigs for the next few days. Grohl is a real trouper and I bet he'll do his damnedest to play, but those going to Wembley next week might want to check carefully that the gigs are still going ahead. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-33123723

Bad news - looks like Foo Fighters have had to cancel the rest of their European gigs this summer due to the seriousness of Dave Grohl's broken leg. Which means the two Wembley shows are off. And no Iggy UK shows at all. I feel really sorry for everyone who was planning on going. Richard

Sucks. I was looking forward to the setlist. The wait continues.

Yeah... we know! My friend flew over from the States for this! (imagine air fare in July, over £1000) But never mind, we had a good time in London. Next gig I go to will be in one weeks time in Iceland!

He returns to Europe (Spain) after the two USA dates. Could mean more European and hopefully UK dates, right?

This weekend Iggy plays in the Netherlands. Saturday around 10.30. It will probably be broadcasted, so I can keep you posted. In the schedule of the festival it says that Iggy is scheduled for one hour and 20 minutes
