| I agree, Ron seems to simply be a good guy all around. I've enjoyed his interviews immensely. Very good natured man indeed. I'd be honored to trade guitar licks with Ron any time. I know it would sure benefit my playing! | |

| Nadja: I like to think the first one as the best psychadelic album I'v heard and the second one being the best blues, funk and jazz album. Or something. When the first one sounds more soul and mind, the second is driven by madness and blood exploding inside of a heart. Like if they where put together, they'd be heart and soul.
The first one for me is the best soundtrack of boredom there is. 1969 is really easy to put yer own age and the current year on. The feeling of being alone in several ways has no greater sounds to be described than I wanna be your dog and We will Fall. No Fun, Real Cool time and Not right tells about a night out, groovier than nothing else. Ann is hypnotic. Little doll is a zombie dance party. And just as Funhouse, when I listen to The Stooges. It really feels like one of those definitive moments of listening. Just not the same depth to fall into as Funhouse, but sure a free fall to count on!
And yeah. I want the next album to be called Mindroom. All psychadelic blues funk. All easy words, and no name dropping. An album starting out slowmoving with some sort of 1969 Down the street mixture. Sounding like it goes all the way with some sort of Loose song. Heading for extreme with a real cool time TV eye. Finding peace with some ballad thingy. Going funky in at least two songs. Giving the mindroom rap at least 3 minutes of noice and giving the end a song fit with a LA Blues/I'm fried noisy solo for all the Stooges! I want this now!

| I like your descriptions Borntohula! especially about 'Ann' and 'Little Doll', these two songs, for me, are INCREDIBLY hypnotic even by The Stooges' standards! The first few minutes of 'Ann' ,are so 'other-worldly', it's terrifying. And as for 'Little Doll'... in fact, if I really, really, REALLY had to identify one 'favourite' Stooges' track ... ok, so that's an impossible task. But it might well be 'Little Doll'!

| Scary indeed. Let's put it this way: I'd never even ATTEMPT to call any celebrity unless they ASK or INVITE me to. Oh hell, I'd love to chat with Ron, Scott, Iggy or a handful of other musicians I admire. But I respect their privacy. | |

don't know about that!! speaking of obsession, though, I'm devoted to the sound of his guitar (as will be evident from all my ramblings on this board) and I admire what he's done, but that's as far as it goes ...

That's healthy and really allright. Since you won't give him the scares like JLTS does
