| thanks for putting this together zin
looks more 'expected', at least by me, now that funhouse is top
this is a hard thing to do, they only had 4 albums, and how do you put one above the other, ok weirdness would come 4th, its great but no masterpiece obviously, but how do you choose between the 3 main albums? (thats a rhetorical question btw)

don't you like to choose between the pleasure of 29 Loose takes or the 7 songs on Fun House? - trailerborn wrote:
1. Fun Power 2. Rubber Legs (vinyl) 3. Everything else Fun Power?! hahahaha. wish this album would exist. only rubber legs can be included.. is that what you want Trailerborn.. or should i see it all as a sheer joke?

| yeah, but aren't box sets a bunch of albums combined? granted the fun house sessions box set are the sessions (which is technically six discs) -- heavy liquid is made up of six different album releases. rubber legs, open up and bleed, rough power .. all compilations.
i mean, i'm sure you can all see what i'm saying. i'm not trying to cause an argument here. i like all of you. i was just trying to really break it down into what is really an "album" .. the rest of them are just compilations and box sets.
technically for the stooges, and iggy and the stooges (if say, you combine them - not as one group, but one identity) they really only have a few official album releases. while a lot of stuff is between bootlegged/semi-official/compilation the only real proper record company releases in my mind are these:
self-titled fun house raw power metallic k.o. telluric chaos the weirdness escaped maniacs (if you want to count that bonus disc on the euro release)

The Columbia Studios stuff (if this is when it was taped) smokes any and all of the live bootlegs by virtue of it being an actual studio recording. The guitar on 'Open Up & Bleed', for example, is crunchier & more satisfying than the many live recordings. (The live lyrics are more evolved, though). My copy came with the live 'I Need Somebody' 45, adding to the overall coolness. Also, I had it autographed by Ron Asheton and none of the dozens of bootlegs I bought later have managed to surpass it. So, yeah, a strong #2!
