Hey, did someone think about that : to hire Jimmy Recca to replace Mike Watt, AND James Williamson to replace Ron?
Both were Stooges before the first split in 1971, since they joined the band by the end of 1970. I read somewhere that Williamson introduce Recca to the band...

As for the actual thread topic, I am in the camp that believes that Scott and Iggy should really spitball this one out, and whatever may come of it, at least the end result would retain the best interests regarding Ron.

If I never got another chance to see them play together again, well, I would just count myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to see them at all (the reformation), given the fact that I was around 7 during their first go-round.

Sonic Youth with Iggy in London 1987 doing 'Dog' is so much more enjoyable....

REM covered 'Funtime' as a B-Side.

My favourite cover of Funtime is by Boy George a few years ago. I know, I know. I could'nt believe it either.

i didnt have a problem when rem covered it with patti smith and lenny kaye at the hall of fame in 2007. it was obviously a nod to the stooges, and again a damn good cover. much, much better then funtime.
